Foot reflexology

Following reflexology to enhance my own fertility and then lower back pains during pregnancy, I discovered the many benefits of reflexology on my emotional and physical health, which encouraged me to train as a reflexologist in 2010.

I have over 15 years’ experience as a reflexologist; previously working at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, The Beechwood Cancer Centre and various beauty salons and podiatrists across Manchester and Cheshire.

I completed further training in reflexology to support fertility and pregnancy, reflexology in cancer care and Thai foot massage.

How does reflexology work?

Reflexology involves massaging your feet, ankles and lower legs, working on specific reflex points mapped out on your feet that link to parts and systems of your body.

It’s based on the principal that the feet are a mini map of your body, and I work on reflex points that correspond to different organs, glands and systems of your body. With over 7000 nerve endings located on the soles of your feet, by massaging these I can either stimulate or soothe the nervous system to provide deep relaxation and allow your body to heal and rebalance.

What are the benefits of reflexology?

Reflexology leaves you feeling peaceful, cleansed and better able to connect with yourself. It can be effective in the treatment of:

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Digestive disorders

  • Hormonal imbalances

  • Sleep disorders

  • Pregnancy discomforts

  • Fertility issues

  • Back and joint pain

How long does it take?

Reflexology can also be combined with an Elim pedicure express treatment for a complete foot refresh.
